Justin D. Charney is 12-year-old drummer from Kelowna, BC, who picked
up his first set of drumsticks only 21 months ago and hasn’t looked
back! In this short period of time, Justin has played concerts, won his
first contest, the Kiwanis Music Festival Solo Award, and started his
own Youtube channel and website – DRUMJDC.
Justin has been learning the drums through the world-renowned education program Rockschool
under the instruction of drum coach Justen Gordon. After skipping 4
grades right out of the gate, Justin wrote his grade 3 exam, getting
94%! Ten months later, Justin is now finishing up and prepping for his
grade 7 exam, a 1st year University-level equivalent.
Looking for a new challenge, Justin is now working on creating
original material, and has started collaborating with other artists, as
well as Detroit music producer Tyrone Money Young. Justin also enjoys
creating remixes for his favorite genres of music – Hip Hop, Rap, Rock
and EDM.
